NEW YEAR MESSAGE FROM THE EXECUTIVE CHAIRMAN, IGBO–ETITI LOCAL GOVERNMENT AREA, HON. DR. ERIC ODO.

 


I heartily welcome every son and daughter of Igbo-Etiti into this brand New Year, 2026. We give glory to Almighty God who preserved our lives, guided our steps, and made it possible for us to witness the dawn of a brand new year filled with hope, possibilities, and divine blessings.

The outgone year of 2025 was remarkable for the progress of our dear Council Area. Together, we dared to dream, planned with purpose, and took bold steps to provide good governance to the people. 

We witnessed improvement in security, infrastructural development, social welfare, youth engagement, education, health and several other people-oriented interventions.

As we step into 2026, I want to assure you that my administration will remain dedicated to inclusive development, fairness, accountability, and service that truly satisfies the yearnings of the people.

Our major focus in 2026 will be to consolidate on the gains recorded in 2025 and expand our work in strengthening peace and community reconciliation, enhancing security architecture, and improving rural infrastructure.

Others include supporting education, providing quality healthcare services to the people, taking care of our elderly, widows, widowers, the less privileged and persons with disabilities (PWDs).

I therefore appeal to you — Igbo-Etiti sons and daughters — to join us in this journey. Let us continue to participate, contribute ideas, respect one another, and uphold the peace that is the foundation of meaningful development.

I wish every sons and daughters of Igbo-Etiti happy and fruitful New Year

In a bid to enhance public transportation in the state, the Enugu State Government has launched its State Rapid Bus Service , unveiling routes and prices for commuters.
