ENUGU STATE GOVERNMENT LAUNCHES RAPID BUS SERVICE, RELEASES ROUTES AND PRICES.

In a bid to enhance public transportation in the state, the Enugu State Government has launched its State Rapid Bus Service, unveiling routes and prices for commuters. The service aims to provide a comfortable and convenient mode of transportation for residents and visitors alike.

The bus service will operate on several routes, with prices ranging from N500 to N2,500. The routes and prices are as follows:

- Gariki Terminal:

    - Agbani: N500

    - Abakpa: N900

    - Holy Ghost: N500

    - Emene: N800

- Holy Ghost Terminal:

    - Emene: N500

    - Agbani/4 corners: N900

    - Gariki: N500

    - Abakpa: N500

    - Nsukka: N2,500

    - Ninth Mile: N500

    - Udi/Oji River: N1,200

- Abakpa Terminal:

    - Gariki: N900

    - Holy Ghost: N500

    - Nsukka: N2,000

    - Agbani: N1,500

- Nsukka Terminal:

    - Abakpa: N2,000 (UNTH loading point).

    - Abakpa: N900 (UNTH Old Site).

    - UNTH New Site: N600.

The state government has also announced plans to launch additional routes in the coming weeks, including:

- Holy Ghost to Gariki (Via Ziks Avenue).

- Holy Ghost to Gariki (Via Independence Layout).

- Holy Ghost to Gariki (Via Camp).

- Holy Ghost to Abakpa.

- Holy Ghost to Emene.

To facilitate easy payment, the state government has introduced the Ije Card, which will be available for free at all terminals for the first week. Commuters are required to load their cards immediately after collection, and can top up their cards at any of the ticketing agents across the terminals.

The buses are equipped with free WiFi and air-conditioning, ensuring a comfortable ride for commuters throughout their journey.

The Enugu State Government is confident that the State Rapid Bus Service will enhance the quality of life for residents and visitors, while also promoting economic growth and development in the state.
