PFN Visit Igbo-Etiti LG Chairman, Seeks Strong Partnership To Deepen Grassroots Development.

The Chairman of Igbo-Etiti Local Government Area, Dr. Eric Odo has reiterated his administration’s commitment to inclusive governance, transparency, and accountability.

He also gave the assurance that public funds entrusted to him would be judiciously used for the development of Igbo-Etiti.

Odo stated this when he received members of the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN), Igbo-Etiti Chapter, who paid him a courtesy visit in Ogbede

While applauding the PFN for their support, he assured them that the current administration in the local government will not side-line them in its programmes, describing them as critical stakeholders.

Odo, who enumerated his achievements in office, said he wants to leave a lasting legacies in Igbo-Etiti, a vision, he maintained, had made his administration to execute projects that have direct impact on the people.

“I did not come into this office to enrich myself with public funds but rather to use every available kobo to make life better for our people.

“My goal is to translate government resources into meaningful projects and programmes that directly touch lives, whether in infrastructure, education, healthcare, or social welfare.

“With your prayers and partnership, we can achieve much more,” he stated.

The council boss appreciated Governor Peter Ndubuisi Mbah for providing him the opportunity to serve Igbo-Etiti people and assured the governor of his unalloyed support.

Odo then enjoined the PFN to encourage their followers to register in the ongoing Continuous Voters Registration (CVR) to enable them to vote during elections, noting that it is their civic obligation.

Earlier, the leader of the group and Senior Special Assistant to the Chairman on Spiritual Affairs, Rev. Osita Agu said the visit was to seek partnership with the local government.

Agu noted that the PFN is willing to collaborate with the council area in mobilising and informing their followers on the activities of the government.

He commended the chairman for his proactive style of leadership, saying his policies and programmes have positively impacted the welfare of the people.

According to him, the success of any government at the grassroots is tied to the level of cooperation and partnership it enjoys from its people, particularly faith-based organisations.

The PFN then pledged their continued support to ensure that Igbo-Etiti remains a model of good governance and inclusive leadership.

The high point of the visit was a special prayer by the group for the council chairman, his team, and the people of Igbo-Etiti.
