Igbo-Etiti: Former Vice Chairmen Commend Gov. Mbah, Eric Odo's Leadership style.

The former Vice Chairmen of Igbo-Etiti Local Government Area, from 1999 to date, have commended Governor Peter Mbah and the Council Chairman, Dr. Eric Ogbonna Odo for their leadership style.

They described the leadership style as transformative and innovative, which is delivering dividend of good governance to the people of the state.

The former vice chairmen gave this commendation on Wednesday when they visited the chairman in his office in Ogbede.

Speaking during the visit, Mr. Ayogu Sam Ayogu, said that Gov. Mbah has not only surpassed the expectation of Ndi Enugu but has transformed the state within his two years in office.

He lauded Odo for mirroring the developmental blueprint of Governor Mbah, which is delivering transformative governance to Igbo-Etiti people.

Ayogu commended the council boss for the honour of meeting the past chairmen, describing him as the first chairman to officially host them.

“Calling us together for interaction is an honour we will not take for granted.

There is visible development across the council, and we, the people of Igbo-Etiti, are enjoying good governance under your pragmatic leadership,” Ayogu remarked.

Responding, the council chairman assured the former vice chairmen of his administration’s commitment to carry them along in governance.

Odo pledged to strengthen the vice chairman’s office by assigning more responsibilities to it, and making it more influential in council affairs.

He emphasized the importance of recognizing and appreciating those who had served the council, noting that such gestures inspire others to willingly serve when called upon.

The council boss maintained that his administration would tap into the wealth of knowledge and experience of the former vice chairmen to move the council forward.

“Going forward, this government will consult you whenever projects are to be executed in your various communities because you are critical stakeholders.

“Honour must be given to whom honour is due, and respect accorded to whom it is deserved,” Odo said.

He further assured them that beyond their past service, there remained significant opportunities for them to contribute meaningfully to the growth and development of the LGA.
