BREAKING NEWS: 2025 NEW YAM FESTIVAL (IWA JI) CELEBRATION COMING UP.

The traditional rulers of Nike Ancient Kingdom have officially invited the public to the highly anticipated 2025 New Yam Festival (Iwa Ji) celebration. The festival, a time-honored tradition, marks the beginning of the harvest season and is expected to be a day of thanksgiving, cultural display, and communal joy.

- Date: Sunday, August 31, 2025
- Venue: Igwe's Palace, Ibagwa Nike.
- Time: 1:00 pm.

The festival is expected to draw large crowds and will feature traditional dances, music, and cultural displays. HRH Igwe Dr. Emmanuel Oluchukwu Ugwu, Crown Mayor of Nike Ancient Kingdom and Chairman Enugu East LGA Traditional Rulers Council, has extended a warm invitation to all, urging them to join in the celebration of the rich heritage of the Nike people.

The festival is also an opportunity for the community to come together and pray for continued peace, unity, and prosperity.
