The National Council of Traditional Rulers of Nigeria (NCTRN) has strengthened ties with the Enugu State Council of Traditional Rulers, following a courtesy visit to Igwe Samuel Ikechukwu Asadu, Ogadagidi, Chairman of the Enugu State Council of Traditional Rulers.
The delegation, led by Alhaji Kasim Yawa, Director of the NCTRN, was received by Igwe Asadu and his principal officers at his palace in Edem-Ani community, Nsukka Local Government Area. The visit aimed to foster unity among traditional leaders and strengthen relations between the state traditional institution and the national body.

Igwe Asadu emphasized the importance of collaboration in advancing the role of traditional institutions, highlighting the need to foster unity, build bridges, and explore strategies to enhance and develop the traditional leadership structure in Nigeria.
He also appreciated Governor Peter Mbah for entrusting him with the leadership of the Enugu State Traditional Rulers Council, which has enabled him to interact with distinguished figures contributing to national development.

The visit was attended by key members of the NCTRN and traditional rulers from Enugu North Senatorial district, including HRH Igwe Dr. Herbert Ukuta, HRH Igwe Dr. HL Ezeh, HRH Igwe Vincent Ugwuanyi, and HRH Igwe Prof. Sir V.C. Onah.
The event served as a platform to discuss national unity, cultural preservation, and the evolving role of traditional leadership in Nigeria.
