 has re-emerged along the Opi Nsukka-Ugwogo Nike Road, sparking widespread concern among residents and authorities. According to reports, four individuals were abducted on Tuesday, January 28, 2025. However, in a surprising turn of events, the Nigeria Police Enugu State denied the incident, despite evidence to the contrary.

In a shocking repetition of events, another kidnapping incident occurred today, Friday, January 31, 2025. A video of the incident has been obtained, further substantiating claims of the kidnapping.

The denial by the Nigeria Police Enugu State has been perceived as an act of sabotage against the government of Enugu State, which has made significant efforts to restore security in the region. Governor Peter Mbah has been working tirelessly to ensure the safety of all residents, particularly those utilizing the Opi Nsukka-Ugwogo Nike Road.

We urge the government of Enugu State to take immediate action, instructing security agencies to rescue the kidnapped individuals and apprehend the culprits. The local government chairmen of Nsukka, Igbo Etiti, Isi Uzo, Udi, and Enugu East are also called upon to establish a network of "Operation Take Charge of Your Forest" to combat this growing menace.


The young man kidnapped on Tuesday 28, January, 2025 at the same Opi Nsukka - Ugwogo Nike Road. He is from Nguru Nsukka.

Security is indeed everyone's business, and we must work collectively to ensure the safety and well-being of all residents in Enugu State.
