GOVERNOR PETER MBAH: A BEACON OF HOPE IN TIMES OF TRAGEDY

We bring you a special report from Enugu State, where a devastating fuel tanker accident has claimed the lives of 11 persons and left many more injured. Our correspondent, Agu Chineme, has been following the story and brings us this update.

In the face of unimaginable tragedy, Governor Peter Mbah has demonstrated exceptional leadership and compassion. His swift response to the accident, coupled with his commitment to ensuring that the victims receive full medical attention, is a testament to his dedication to the welfare of his people.

As the governor visited the scene of the accident, he expressed his deep sadness and commiserated with the families of the victims. His directive to the Federal Road Safety Commission's Sector Commander and the State Commissioner for Transport to ensure that all tankers conveying inflammable substances in the state have anti-spill locks is a proactive step towards preventing such tragedies in the future.

We commend Governor Mbah for his selfless efforts in taking care of the wounded and for his commitment to fixing the part of the federal road that was in disrepair. His leadership is a shining example of what it means to serve with compassion and integrity.

New Bishop consecrated and installed at Nsukka!

Nsukka, Enugu State - A significant event took place on Friday, August 15, 2025, at Golden Valley Hotel Ltd , Nsukka. Rt. Rev. Msgr. Joseph Chigbo Agu was consecrated and installed as the first Byzantine Catholic Bishop in Southern Nigeria . The ceremony was performed by three esteemed bishops: - His Grace Most Rev.
