Gov. Sim. Fubara, Governor Rivers State in a happy mood after yesterday's announcement of LG election result.

October 6, 2024, marks a significant milestone in the annals of Rivers State's history as the newly elected Local Government Area (LGA) Chairmen are elected and are going to usher in a fresh chapter of leadership and governance. We extend our warmest congratulations to Governor Siminalayi Fubara on the successful and peaceful conduct of the LGA elections, a testament to his administration's commitment to democratic ideals.

The swearing-in ceremony which will come very soon are believed will hold at the Government House in Port Harcourt.

The Newly Elected LGA Chairmen are:

- _Ahoada-West_: Mr. Iyekor Ikporo.

- _Akuku-Toru_: Mrs. Tonye Oniyide.

New Bishop consecrated and installed at Nsukka!

Nsukka, Enugu State - A significant event took place on Friday, August 15, 2025, at Golden Valley Hotel Ltd , Nsukka. Rt. Rev. Msgr. Joseph Chigbo Agu was consecrated and installed as the first Byzantine Catholic Bishop in Southern Nigeria . The ceremony was performed by three esteemed bishops: - His Grace Most Rev.
