A distressing incident occurred today at Ohuiyi, Aku, as Fulani cattle herders brutally assaulted an Aku farmer. The victim, who wishes to remain anonymous, recounted the harrowing ordeal.

"I was tending to my farm at approximately 11:30 a.m. when two Fulani youths approached, requesting water. Following their refreshment, they demanded I accompany them to inspect damaged crops allegedly caused by their livestock. Upon refusing, they discharged a firearm, striking my head. As I fled, they produced machetes and inflicted severe lacerations."

The gravely injured farmer urgently appealed for swift security intervention.

"We implore authorities to intervene forthwith. Our farms, our livelihoods and our safety are under threat. Government assistance is imperative to safeguard Aku Diewa residents."
