I recently had the honor of addressing our newly elected Local Government Chairmen at the Executive Leadership Retreat in Enugu, where I emphasized the need for creativity and innovation in leadership. The theme, "Aligning Strategy for Sustainable Economic and Infrastructure Delivery at the Local Government Level," reflects our commitment to transformative change.

As we embark on this journey, I reminded our council leaders that the honeymoon is over – it's time to hit the ground running! Our goal is to revolutionize our communities through lean spending, optimal performance, and disruptive innovation. This requires target setting, thinking outside the box, and disrupting the status quo.

Key Priorities:

Strategic Leadership: Embracing creativity and innovation to drive growth

Transparency and Accountability. Utilizing resources wisely to positively impact lives

Infrastructure Development: 260 Smart Green Schools, 10,000km of road construction, and Type-2 primary healthcare centers across all LGAs.

To achieve our ambitious $30 billion GDP target and eradicate poverty, we must employ creative financing models, cut overhead costs, and mobilize domestic revenues.

The future of Enugu is bright, and tomorrow is here! I urge our council leaders to remain focused, committed, and driven to create a hub of investment opportunities for our people.

New Bishop consecrated and installed at Nsukka!

Nsukka, Enugu State - A significant event took place on Friday, August 15, 2025, at Golden Valley Hotel Ltd , Nsukka. Rt. Rev. Msgr. Joseph Chigbo Agu was consecrated and installed as the first Byzantine Catholic Bishop in Southern Nigeria . The ceremony was performed by three esteemed bishops: - His Grace Most Rev. Dr. John Ajibola Adeyemo - His Lordship Kenneth Chukwuemeka Ohamonye - His Lordship Joshua Adelana Akanle The event drew attendees from across the country.
