A distress call has been issued to Dr. Peter Mbah, the Enugu State Governor, to intervene in the alleged harassment by the E-Ticket Task Force at Aku Road New Market, Nsukka LGA.
According to eyewitnesses, the task force has been demanding revenue from traders at the New Market, despite previous payments made at the Ogige Market that was destroyed recently
Traders lament that some shops are still under development, yet the task force has begun locking up shops, sparking fears of double taxation.
"This is unacceptable," said a concerned trader. "We've paid our revenue, and now they're asking us to pay again. It's exploitation."
The affected traders are calling on Dr. Mbah to urgently address this issue and bring the E-Ticket Task Force to order.
