*THE HYPOCRISY OF PROTEST POLITICS: A NATION'S DOUBLE STANDARD*

*A TALE OF SELECTIVE OUTRAGE AND MISPLACED BLAME*

In a bizarre display of political hypocrisy, the Nigerian government and certain individuals have chosen to target Peter Obi and the Igbo people for blame, despite a chorus of protest calls from various quarters. This egregious double standard has left many wondering if the government is more interested in silencing dissenting voices than addressing the grievances of its citizens.

*A PROTEST CALLING FREE-FOR-ALL*

In recent times, numerous individuals and groups have called for protests against the government, citing various reasons. Notably, VDM, Sowore, Deji, and Seun Kuti have all added their voices to the protest chorus. Moreover, many Atiku Arewa supporters have been calling for protests daily, while several Imams in the North have preached against the government and called for protests.

*SELECTIVE OUTRAGE AND MISPLACED BLAME*

However, in a stunning display of hypocrisy, the government and certain individuals, like Bayo, have chosen to focus their ire on Peter Obi and the Igbo people. This blatant double standard raises fundamental questions about the government's commitment to democracy and its willingness to listen to dissenting voices.

*THE IGBO PEOPLE: A CONVENIENT SCAPEGOAT?*

It appears that the Igbo people have been singled out for blame, despite being just one of many groups calling for protests. This selective outrage is a clear indication of a deeper problem – a government that is more interested in silencing dissent than addressing the legitimate grievances of its citizens.

*A CALL FOR CONSISTENCY AND JUSTICE*

We must demand consistency and justice from our government. It is time to stop playing politics with protests and start addressing the real issues facing our nation. The Nigerian people deserve better than a government that seeks to silence dissenting voices and blame convenient scapegoats.
